Become a Business Partner

Our Business Partners
King Middle School partners with many businesses and organizations in the Greater Portland area, but we would like to extend special thanks to our Business Partners, listed below.

XPress Copy
Xpress Copy has been a business partner since 2001. The wonderful people at Xpress have generously reproduced all of our color expedition products, saving King thousands of dollars, and allowing us to provide every students at King with color copies of his or her work. In addition, the company prints our newsletters which are mailed to parents four times each year. When you have printing to do, we hope you will think of XPress!

Longfellow Books
Longfellow Books became a business partner in 2001. A locally owned bookstore, they have worked closely with our librarian on author visits and book purchases. They have also sold the following student work in their store: Wild in the City: A Field Guide to the Wildlife of Portland and A Park Grows in Portland: A Field Guide to the Trees of Deering Oaks. Check out their great on line store. Why shop at Amazon when you can get everything you need at Longfellow?

Drummond, Woodsum & MacMahon
Drummond, Woodsum & MacMahon and King Middle School have been partners since 1991. Student artwork has been displayed in the law firm's office lobby since 1995. In 2002, Drummond Woodsum & MacMahon contributed matching funds of $2,500 to purchase a CD duplicator. The duplicator allows more students to produce original multi-media work about what they're learning, and allows us to reproduce that work quickly and easily. In 2003, Drummond Woodsum issued the same matching challenge and those monies went to support our literacy initiative. Our goal is to have all students reading at grade level when they leave King Middle School.
