The narratives we
wrote
were inspired by both history and our imaginations. We were
told to put
ourselves in our person's shoes, and to help better understand what our
fictional or real person felt, we drew a self portrait of ourselves,
with the colonial attire. We also recorded a bit of our narrative for a
Quicktime file, so the readers will better understand what
each of our
stories are about.
When
we started our narrative writing process, many
of us were unsure about the outcome. We started from a one
page
character sketch, and slowly but surely made draft after
draft and edit
after edit until we got the best possible piece of writing we could do.
This took place in Language Arts and Social Studies.
In Art, we worked
ourselves
to the max and drew and colored (with chalk) our portraits. Our sound
files were constructed in Language Arts also, and we chose the best parts
of our
narratives to record. We hope you enjoy these narratives, portraits,
and sound bytes.

you wish, you can look up stories by
