Today is the ninth moon of, the cold days. It has been hard for my father to cope with my young sisters sickness brought by the white men. He is very angry with the white men raiding our tee pee. I am angry with the white men. The white men have also taken our people’s firewood and forced us to give them our fore wood with their thunder makers.

During my berry picking on strawberry bank, I saw the white men. They were making fun of our people by putting mud marks on their face and jumping up and down screaming horribly.I was so offended I slung an arrow through his hand, and two days later he died of suffering infection like all the other people in my tribe. And after that i fasted for all the days he suffered. I am awakened by the chief, he takes me to the secret brook. Their he tells me the ancient story about the monster bear. He said to me that one hundred and eighty six winters ago their were four of the greatest hunters known to the land. A small child came to them and said their was a bear the size of a long house. Then they told him to go home and tell his mother to keep him inside. Then they went to my grandfather who was the chief many winters ago and told him about the boy. He had his best men to guard is and four of our best hunters. As they were packing their pouches with smoked meets, dried berrys and nuts they heard a viscous roar. The chief ran out with the four best hunting dogs. The chief gave the first man the dig of speed because he was the shortest. The chief gave the second hunter the dog of strength because he had been sick a few moons back. The chief gave the third hunter the dog of bravery because he was afraid of anything bigger than himself. And the fourth hunter the chief gave the dog of courage because he never pulls through and now he needed to for his peoples sake. The cchief gave them words of luck and sent them of. As they walked they saw the foot prints. Then all the dogs got excited. All of a sudden the four dogs ran toward the tree because the tree was forming into the bear and before it completely formed the dog of bravery jumped on it and bit it. The hunters chased it for miles and over mountains and swam through lakes  and then they all got kind of light and slowly drifted of the ground sort of like a leaf fluttering in the air they were so occupied with the bear they did not notice after a wile they started making a plan two throw all their spears at once as the did they instantly shot up into the sky. The bear was so big it formed the big dipper. As for the hunters and the dogs they were the little stars that you can barley see behind it. The chief told me this story because only the chiefs and the future chefs shall know that. I was at that point devastated. The chief told me that I could tell but one person about the story. On the tenth day of my death tell all my people that I have died. He said to me “my time has come Glooscap make a wise choice”. I knew exactly what to do.

I was awoken by the secret guardian he saw white men and they were fifteen leagues back. He said he had manages to get nine thunder makers  and five sacks of fire powder.

Ten moons and suns later: My people the chief is back and I am the new one. I have been told that the white people have been spotted we must stock up on food and train our warriors. My father is very proud of me being the new chief. After a long time in preparing i have all my warriors and the wabbanaki have joined us. We have both decided to unchain the dogs of war. The white men are coming the white men are comeing form an attack. They are less than two leagues away. It has surprised me that we made a protective circle around our tribe and we have some warriors slinging the white men already. BAM BAM BAM three balls of hot metal have just hit the ground. Their to close I must fight. I told the messenger that I die you become chief. SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Bang the messenger has just been killed by a hot ball of metal.
Three hours later: I have just killed nine white men. The messenger has just told me that my father and my sister have just been murdered. As i run to them as fast as my legs can go I am hit........Slowly I wither away just like our Native American way of life will be in just a few years.
Back at the tribe. A field of white men have just came and wiped out our tribe. We are gone.
The End
