Between the years of 1776 - 1787, America fought for and won its
independence in the American Revolution. The Continental Army defeated
the redcoats allowing America to secede from England's rule. Also this
is a time of sorrow for all of the soldiers who gave their lives for
freedom.

The declaration of Indepedance was written and signed.
