What can Portland, ME, offer newcomers? How can I help newcomers to Portland, ME, access vital services? These were the guiding questions that launched Windsor English Language Learners on a learning expedition to point new refugees and immigrants toward essential programs and services in Portland, ME. For theses students, the challenge was threefold: 1) knowing and matching refugee needs with programs and services, 2) developing the English language skills to communicate this knowledge, and 3) packaging all this information in a convenient and usable medium for new refugees and immigrants. This booklet is a result of their attempt to make the resources of Portland, ME more easily accessible to new refugees and immigrants.
