a serice of interlocking food chains. It starts out with the sun and the suns
energy goes to plants. Herbavores eat the plants and carnivores
or omnivores eat herbivores. *

is a series of organisms each dependent on the next as a source of food.

A food pyramid is a representation of predatory relationships in the food chain, forms of life are shown on different levels, with each level preying on the one below it, so that as the pyramid narrows toward the top, the number of predators also decreases as it goes to the top. |
