| To hunt or not
to hunt? |
| People often have strong
feelings either for or against hunting and it can be hard for someone on
one side to see the other sides point of view. To some hunting seems really
cruel and they want to protect animals. For others hunting is an important
part of their lives and they may feel that they respect and understand wild
animals, even though they hunt. Here are some different points for and
against hunting: |
| TO
HUNT Hunting controls, and can be part of managing animal populations. Hunting is a traditional way of life for many people. Hunters often make sure that land is preserved for animals to live, otherwise there would be no place to hunt or no animals to hunt. Hunting can be a source of food. Hunting can be a way of being out in nature and many people enjoy the outdoors part of hunting. Hunting creates many jobs. With out hunting we wouldn't have the money to protect our environment.
|
NOT
TO HUNT Hunting is a way of killing innocent wild animals. Hunted animals often feel fear and pain. There is no longer any need to hunt for food in our society. Hunters often kill animals who have no way of protecting themselves. Hunting can make some people uncaring about living creatures. What gives us the right to control the population of other species, no one controls ours.
