Ecology
Ecosystem: an environment
in which animals live in and interact with there environment. |
| Ecology: The study of interactions
among organisms and their environment. |
| limiting factors in populations:
Lets say that two little squirrels found a great place to and there was nobody there but them and they had all the
little nuts they needed it was perfect then some other squirrels found the place. After that it still wasn't a big problem they
just had to share a little, but then new squirrels kept on coming until
there was very little of anything left.
So in the end the two original squirrels have to leave because the place
was to crowded and all of those are limiting
factors. |
| symbiotic relationships: symbiotic
relationships are when two animals interact
in a parasitic whey, commensulism, mutuelism. Parasitic means that only one benefits and one is harmed. Mutuelism means both animals benefit. Commensulism means
one benefits and the other is not harmed. A example of a parasitic relationship
is a leach on a person. An example of a mutual relationship is spiders and
us spiders eat fly's so we don't have fly's everywhere. |
| We need different animals
in our ecosystems because with just one organism they would start
to over populate. Sooner or later they would start to eat there own kind.
The world would no longer be populated that's how much it matters. |
this is commenselysm because the shark is not being harmed and the pilot
fish is getting food.
