Ecosystem: a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical environment.
Ecology: the branch of biology that deals with the relations of organisms to one another and to their physical surroundings.
Symbiotic Relationships:

A symbiotic relationship is a relationship in which an organism lives on, near or in another organism

  • Mutualism: A symbiotic relationship in which both species benefit.
  • Commensalism: A symbiotic relationship in which one organism benefits and the other is not affected.
  • Parasitism: A symbiotic relationship in which one organism benefits but the other is harmed.

It is important to have  many species of animals in an area because it balance out the biotic level. If there were only a few different organisms in an area not all the animals would be pleased. The population of animals in an area would die out or leave. For example, if a species prey was not in that area they would have to leave and then their predators will have to leave and so on and so forth. Soon there would be no organism left in an area. That is why having many species creates bio diversity and pleases all species.
