|
| Ecology
is the study of interactions that take place among organisms and between
organisms and the physical features of the environment.
Did you know that "eco" means house and "logos" means study?

| Definition- A biological community
of interacting an organisms their physical environment. |
| Symbiotic Relationships |
Here's
A Example Of A Symbiotic Relationship |
| The definition of swymbiosis is interactions between
two different organisms living in close physical association typically
to the advantage of both. You can compare symbiosis with antibiosis, a
mutually beneficial relationship between different people or groups. There
are 3 different kinds of symbiotic relationships. It is usually an interaction
between two different living organisms. In the first type of symbiotic
relationship, one organism will be benefiting
and the other is not harmed and that's called Mutualism.
The second type of symbiotic relationship is communalism in
this symbiotic relation one organism is benefiting and the other is
not. Parasitism is the third and final symbiotic
relationship. One organism is benefiting and the other is harmed.

| Limiting
Factors |
Here's a population
of bison with no predator. If there is not a predator it
would not be healthy. They would run out of grass and die. |
| In the ecosystem
there are limiting factors for the animals that live their, four of
the limiting factors are predator, food, water. and shelter. For example,
if there is a population of rabbits and there is only one fox, their would
be to many rabbits. If you add more foxes, the rabbit population
would go down, but if you put too many foxes it would lead to competition. Food web Animal page |
