Physical Description

Males tend to be larger they grow up to 3 1/2 ft and a 15 inch tale.Females are 20% smaller than males.When they are full grown they are 18 pounds. The fisher is a brownish blackish color with a long curvy nose. They are 20%bigger than females

Diet and Feeding Habits 

The fisher eats Porcupines, Snow shoe hares,Shrews,Deer mouse,Flying squirrel,Red backed vole,Muskrat Mink,Red squirrel,Fruit And some insects.

 Reproduction

Healthy femalse produce at the age 1year.The young are born blind in den or in hollow trees.They get there eye site 42 days after they are orn,they start to trave with their mom 3 months later. Mating season starts at the beginning of March and ends in late April. 

Habitat 

It is usally found in dwellings or in treetops in forestt in the Northern Region of America also partly the Southern part of Canada.

Role in the Ecosystem 

The fisher's role in the ecosystem is to eat porcupines and squirrels,Also other small game.They are able to eat a porcupine
