Physical Description

Notes:                               
It has pouched cheeks and has stripes on its back.  They are tinier then a squirrel.  The Chipmunk can be 8-10 inches long.  It is black, brown, white, and reddish brown.  An average chipmunk does not live that long.

Diet and Feeding Habits 

Notes:
A tames ruffs eats a wide variety of foods including nuts, acorns, seeds, mushrooms, fruits, berries, and corn. They also eat insects,bird eggs, and sometimes small vertebrates such as young mice.

 Reproduction

Notes:
Tames Striates has 2 breeding seasons. The 1st breeding seasons begins in February and ends in April the 2nd season is in June and ends in August. A female gestation period last for 51 days and they can have a litter the size of 4 to 5, even 9 some times.

Habitat

Notes:                                                                 
 Chipmunks are found in North America, Canada and China. They are often found in hard wood forest that contain many trees and have nuts.

                                                                                                   

Role in the Ecosystem  

Notes:                           
A Chipmunk has a important role as prey to many predators. It also provides a habitat for parasites. They also gather nuts and make homes in trees.
  A Chipmunk lives in open deciduous forest and at the edges of woodlands.
