FOOD CHAiNS.
Food chains are ways to see what one animal eats and what that animal
eats all the way to the sun and the decomposers. It starts with the Sun
and the sun gives energy to the carrots, the rabbit eats the carrots
and the green plants and gets energy, the bobcat who is at the
top of the food chain eats the rabbit and gets all of the energy from
the rabbit and the carrots which gets energy from the sun.
FOOD WEBS.
Food webs are more complex than a food chain. It shows what animals
eat, but is shows more animals that it eat it. In the diagram it shows
that the owl eats the mouse and the rabbit. The bobcat eats the rabbit
and the mouse. The rabbit eates grass and seeds, and the mouse eats
acorns. There are many different types it depends on the biome. In the Arctic tundra the
sun helps the diatom grow, the diatom then gets eaten
by the krill. The krill gets eaten by the seal and the artic cod, the
seal gets eaten by the artic wolf and the polarbear. The artic cod gets
eaten by the polarbear and the seal. In the Marine biome there
is another type of food web. They start with the sun that helps
the algae grow the algae gets eaten by the bluegill and the mosquito
larva. the mosquito larva gets eated by the mosquito fish. The mosquito
fish gets eaten by the raccoon and the Bluegill. The bule grill gets
eaten by the raccoon and the largemouth bass. The
raccoon is at the top of this food chain but it normal isn't when it
comes to mammals.
