Ecology?
Ecology-the study of relationships between organisms and their physical environments. Scientist will study what animals do and how they interact with one another. For instance if a rabbit were being chased and they were giving a warning sign to all of the other animals the rabbit would stomp it's hind feet and the vibrations and the sound would go all around they forrest and the other animals would know  that there is danger in the area. Another example is white tailed deer they have white underneath their tails so when it is in danger it will put it's tail upright so that the other animals can see that there is danger in the area.

This is Prey and Predator
the Wolf is the Predator and the  Deer is the prey.

Vocabulary?
Biosphere-is the top part of earth  that supports life it includes the atmosphere.

Community- several populations of organisms interacting with each other in an ecosystem. It's like a little town that animals share. There aren't just one type of species in a community. There are many different types, it also depends on the biome, a biome is a large ecosystem where plants, animals, insects, and people live in a certain type of climate. If you were to say decidous forrest there may be bears and moose and squirrels and bocats, mountain lions and many other animals can be there it also depends on the place and the habitat.

habitat- the place  or an area , where an organism  makes it home. the area provides the necessary  food, water, and protection. It is where they raise and give birth or lay their babies. A Bear lives in a den a crocidile lives in swamps and sometimes fresh water lakes

population- a population is a group of individuals of the same species interacting together. It is like a  township. It is like humans sharing space. They all work together as one, helping and  sharing.

Symbiosis?
There are three different types of symbiotic relationships.
1. Mustualism- where both help one another and get benifits.
2. Parasitism-where one benifist and one gets harmed.
3.Commensalism- where one benifits and the other is not harmed or benifited.

What is a Biome?
A biome is a large area where many different animals adapt.  Most of us are familiar with the tropical rainforests, tundra in the arctic regions, and the evergreen trees in the coniferous forests . Each of these big communities have species that are adapted to its changing conditions of heat wather and soil. As a matter of fact polar bears live in the arctic while cactus plants have a thick skin to help hold in water in the hot desert.

Limiting Factors?
Limits the size of populations, introduction to alien species can be dangerous and risky.  An alien spieces is not one of those space creatures you hear about in mythbusters. They don't come in U.F.O's. They are new to a place and don't have the same adaptations that all of the other animals have because they have lived there for  a long time or they are semi new and they have some of the adaptations that they need. There are many problems that can occur when you introduce an alien species. They could eat all of the vegitation that the other animals need. The Koi fish if they were let go into the atlantic ocean all of the fish and all of the  food would be gone and they would grow to incredible sizes.

What is an Ecosystem?
When you think about the word ecosystem and biome you often wonder; what's the difference?  There is a microscopic difference between the two words.  An ecosystem is much smaller than a biome.  A biome can be many ecosystems throughout the world grouped together.  An ecoysystem can be as big as an ocean or as small as a rain drop.
