A food chain is the flow of energy from one organism to the next. The corn uses the sun to grow, the mouse eats the corn, the small snake eats the mouse, the bullfrog eats the small snake, and the large bird eats the bullfrog.
A foodweb is an extended food chain; the large bird eats everything, the bullfrog eats the small snake, mouse, and bug.  The Small snake eats the bug and the mouse.  The mouse and bug eat producers.

Producers/consumers:
Producers make food from co2, and water, by using photosynthesis.  Consumers get their food from eating other animals or consumers.
Predator/Prey:
A predator is an animal that eats other animals.  Prey are the animals being hunted.
Carnivore:
Carnivores eat other animals, and won't eat producers.
Omnivores:
Omnivores are the most common; they eat other animals, and producers.
Herbivores:
Herbivores eat just producers, and are food for the omnivores, and carnivores.
