A
bird is an airborne, warm blooded animal with feathers who's young are born
in eggs. There are carnivore, omnivore, and herbivore species of birds.
An herbivore is a chickadee, an omnivore a loon, and a carnivore a bald
eagle. The Maine state bird is a chickadee (seen on both sides of text).
When young, fledglings stay in the nest until their parents see them fit
to fly, and push them out of the nest forcing the young
to fly. A certain species of birds, known as the Brown-headed
Cowbird (Molothrus ater), is widly known and disliked for laying
eggs in other birds' nests. |
